Training Camp, Day 9, ‘Second Group’: Khan reports Ryan, Helm, Erne absent

The Red Wings’ AHL’ers hit the ice early at training camp this morning, with Evgeny Svechnikov skating alongside a group of mostly Grand Rapids Griffins players, and the “second group”–consisting of players most likely play in the NHL–hit the ice around 12 PM EST:

In this Red Wings’ practice group are 20 skaters and 3 goalies. No Darren Helm or Bobby Ryan.

Red Wings second to last practice before season opener on Thursday. No Bobby Ryan, no Darren Helm. Helm has missed 10 days, no Ryan since Thursday practice, so unlikely will be ready for opener. pic.twitter.com/Cc71v5DSzL— Helene St. James (@HeleneStJames) January 11, 2021
