Today, he briefly ranks every team’s prospect pool from 1 to 32, and it’s surprising to see him ranking the Red Wings so highly:
6. Detroit Red Wings (2025: 11th)

The Red Wings are still trying to figure out where the franchise is going. This club is still trying to make the playoffs for the first time in more than a decade. And the Atlantic looks extremely dangerous heading into this season. It’s going to be an uphill battle to get back to the glory days, but Detroit has one of the best prospect pools in hockey to help make that work. Detroit’s pipeline almost has a bit of everything. From top-rated goaltenders to quality wingers and shutdown defenders, Detroit is in a good spot moving forward. It’s up to the new GM to fill in the gaps to get this fanbase back in the rink for an extended spring play session.
