Druhým Slovákom, ktorý prešiel draftom je Michal Svrček. Zo 119. miesta si ho vo 4. kole vybral opäť Detroit.

At 119, Red Wings pick Michal Svrcek, 5-10 Slovak forward playing in Brynas. Had 14 goals and 30 points in 30 games for the J20 team there, but also earned 17 games with their SHL club.

It’s not shocking to see Svrcek’s name on the board still, as he’s an undersized forward who had a good but not great U-18s. Svrcek always drives excellent results, and he creates for teammates at a very high level. He has NHL-caliber speed and a relentless pace. #drw #NHLDraft

One of my guys. Speedy. Plays high pace. Intense. Flashes of high end skill. Good shot. Didn’t produce at the SHL level but was awesome in the playoffs. 43 on my list. #LGRW pic.twitter.com/oKxEC2GLbJ
Saw Svrcek ranked as high as the 1st round by some analysts – I like this swing in the 4th for Detroit.

While small, he has an extremely high motor, plays with pace, makes life hard for opponents. We'll see how he can develop his offensive game & strength. #LGRW https://t.co/xWMq9aaX9l

While being on the smaller side comes with its limitations, he still managed to be a nuisance for the opposing defenders by swarming them and applying tons of pressure, even occasionally finishing his checks against bigger opponents. -EliteProspects 2025 NHL Draft Guide
Here’s the Hockey News’s Tony Ferrari:
Michal Svrcek, C/W, Brynas Jr. (Swe.)
It’s not shocking to see Svrcek’s name on the board still, as he’s an undersized forward who had a good but not great U-18s. Svrcek always drives excellent results, and he creates for teammates at a very high level. He has NHL-caliber speed and a relentless pace. He will have to continue proving people wrong about his size, but he could be a steal if he falls much more on Day 2.
