Prospect round-up: Tuomisto plays 20:37 in TPS Turku win

Of Red Wings prospect-related note today:

In the Finnish Liiga, Antti Tuomisto finished even with 4 shots in 20:37 played as TPS Turku won 4-1 over JYP.

If he’s not in North America (he left the University of Denver after last season), at least he’s getting a fair amount of playing time.

  1. I think of Liga as being a higher level than NCAA hockey. Interesting that Tuomisto is playing a bigger role with Liga. Overall, it seems like he and his dad have messed up his development track.

  2. Tuomisto was used as a 2-3rd pair defenseman at Denver. He was not used much on the PP and was not used offensively. It will be interesting to see if he progresses.
