DETROIT – The Detroit Red Wings today announced the promotional calendar and exciting fan giveaway items for the upcoming 2022-23 season. Red Wings fans are encouraged to sign up for a presale at DetroitRedWings.com/Presale, which runs from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 4. Tickets for the entirety of the 2022-23 season will then go on-sale this Friday, Aug. 5, at 10 a.m.

The Red Wings will host 16 weekend home games. Marquee matchups include the Home Opener (Oct. 14 vs. Montreal Canadiens), Halloween (Oct. 29 vs. Minnesota Wild), Thanksgiving Eve (Nov. 23 vs. Nashville Predators), New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31 vs. Ottawa Senators), Kids Day (March 12 vs. Boston Bruins), Fan Appreciation Night (April 10 vs. Dallas Stars) and much more.

Highlighting this season’s theme nights is the 25th Anniversary Celebration on Nov. 3 and Nov. 5. The Red Wings will honor two of the most iconic teams in the history of the franchise — the 1997 group that won the club’s first Stanley Cup in 42 years and the 1998 team that won back-to-back championships. Additional details surrounding the celebratory weekend will be announced at a later date.

Four Bobblehead Nights will return to Little Caesars Arena, featuring reigning Calder Memorial Trophy winner Moritz Seider (Dec. 3 vs. Vegas Golden Knights), NHL Hall-of-Famer Nicklas Lidstrom (Jan. 21 vs. Philadelphia Flyers), 2021-22 NHL All-Rookie selection Lucas Raymond (Feb. 25 vs. Tampa Bay) and former Red Wings captain Henrik Zetterberg (March 18 vs. Colorado Avalanche).

“We’re gearing up for what will be an exciting and highly anticipated Detroit Red Wings season,” said Chris McGowan, President and CEO of Ilitch Sports + Entertainment. “With a new-look roster, several special events and dozens of great giveaway items, we’re looking forward to creating a tremendous home-ice advantage for our team and a great atmosphere for our fans.”

Several games that feature a special ticket package will be hosted in Hockeytown. The fan-favorite “Love Your Melon” beanie returns for Hockey Fights Cancer Night on Nov. 25 against the Arizona Coyotes and Nov. 30 vs. the Buffalo Sabres, Grateful Dead Night is set for Jan. 14 vs. the Columbus Blue Jackets, Star Wars Night returns on Feb. 9 against the Calgary Flames, and Tigers Night – featuring a co-branded Red Wings/Tigers hat giveaway – will take place April 6 vs. the Buffalo Sabres.
