According to Expressen’s Hugo Hogland, HockeySverige.se’s Rasmus Kagstrom and Hockeynews.se’s Alexander Nilsson, Red Wings prospect Gustav Berglund has received a promotion.
His Swedish Allsvenskan club, Mora IK, has loaned Berglund, a 6’2,” 201-pound right-shooting defenseman, to Farjestads BK.
In Farjestad, the 20-year-old Berglund will be united with fellow Wings prospect and fellow defenseman Albert Johansson.
Berglund was a 2019 draft pick, as was Johansson, and Berglund needs to have a step-forward season with Farjestad to earn the same kind of entry-level contract that Johansson has already received.
