Prospect Round-Up: Hronek scores another goal; Bednar makes Czech WJC team roster; Eliasson capitalizes on rare start

Of prospect-related note for Friday:

In the Czech Extraliga, Filip Hronek scored the game’s first goal in Mountfield HK’s 4-3 win over HC Energie Karlovy Vary. Hronek finished at +2 with 3 shots in 26:00 played:

Filip Zadina finished even with 3 shots in 14:38 played as HC Ocelari Trinec lost 2-1 in overtime to Ceske Budejovice;

Also in the Czech Republic, via GriffinsNest on Twitter, Red Wings prospect Jan Bednar has been named one of three goaltenders for the Czech preliminary World Junior Championship team:

In the Swedish Allsvenskan, Gustav Lindstrom finished even with 1 shot in 23:34 played in Almtuna IS’s 5-4 loss to Timra IK. Filip Larsson can’t catch a break of late–he stopped 33 of 38 shots on goal, and he hasn’t won in some time now;

In the ICE Hockey League, Jesper Eliasson got a rare start for the Red Bulls Salzburg, and he stopped 33 of 35 shots as the Red Bulls won 3-2 in overtime over the Dornbirn Bulldogs;

And in the USHL, later this evening, Chase Bradley and the Sioux City Musketeers will battle Des Moines, and Kyle Aucoin and the Tri-City Storm will tangle with Omaha.

Update: In the USHL, Chase Bradley finished even with a shot and a penalty taken in the Sioux City Musketeers’ 4-0 win over Des Moines;

And Kyle Aucoin scored the game’s first goal, finishing at +2 with 2 shots in the Tri-City Storm’s 4-1 win over Omaha.

Update #2: Ryan O’Reilly had 5 shots and finished even in the University of Arizona Sun Devils’ 3-2 loss to Penn State.
