From The Athletic’s Craig Custance:
Mike Green is close to returning but barring last second change of heart, he won’t play tonight vs. Rangers. Doesn’t help the cause for maximizing return before trade deadline.

Red Wings stressed to Green that they didn’t want him to rush to play just to show he was healthy. Inquiring teams fully aware of his injury status, what he brings to the table as a player. All said, because of that, EK/McDonagh, things quiet on Green front.

Update:
Looking like Detroit deals may be in the noon-3 p.m. range tomorrow when other D deals shake out. It’s quiet right now. Teams seem to have other priorities. https://t.co/zClV0B9q2N
