DETROIT – Advancing into a new era of Detroit Red Wings telecasts, the team today announced details ahead of its inaugural season on Detroit SportsNet, presented by Bet365. This includes the return of fan-favorite on-air talent, tune-in information, and meaningful production enhancements for a telecast already ranked as one of the league’s best.
Introduced earlier this year in partnership with Major League Baseball, Detroit SportsNet serves as the year-round local television home for Red Wings hockey and Tigers baseball. Aside from games selected for national telecasts, games of both teams previously carried by FanDuel Sports Network Detroit can now be watched on DSN.
Fans have two options for watching all locally available Red Wings games on DSN throughout the team’s home market.

Cable / Satellite Provider
- DSN is expected to be available through cable/satellite providers across Michigan, including Xfinity, Spectrum, DIRECTV, DIRECTV STREAM, Fubo, AT&T U-verse, and more.
- For many cable/satellite providers, Red Wings games will air on the same DSN channel fans have watched the Detroit Tigers on this year. No action is needed for those already with access to the channel in the Red Wings’ home market.
- Fans looking for more information on how to find or add DSN within their package are encouraged to check with their cable/satellite provider.
- Many cable/satellite packages with access to DSN allow fans to authenticate with their provider’s details in the MLB App, granting them free access to stream Red Wings games on connected devices.
In-Market Streaming
- Fans in the Red Wings’ home market can subscribe directly to Detroit SportsNet and stream every locally televised Red Wings game live or on demand, blackout-free.

Red Wings coverage on DSN begins with preseason telecasts on Thursday, September 24 vs. Buffalo and Saturday, September 26 vs. Columbus, leading into DSN’s first regular season telecast on October 4 vs. Winnipeg. During the 2026-27 season, 67 of the team’s regular season games are expected to air on DSN – with the balance having been selected by national broadcasters.

The Voices of Red Wings Hockey
Ken Daniels and Mickey Redmond enter their 30th season together as the lead voices of Red Wings hockey, continuing one of the most recognizable and highest-rated broadcast pairings in the sport. Stu Grimson will serve as the primary analyst for most of the games Redmond doesn’t call.
Daniella Bruce, Logan Reever and Trevor Thompson will serve as broadcast reporters throughout the season. Chris Osgood and Larry Murphy return as analysts on pregame, intermission and postgame coverage.
On radio, longtime play-by-play broadcaster Ken Kal will be joined by Osgood, Murphy, Grimson, and others as radio analysts, following the retirement of Paul Woods following last season.
Behind the Broadcast
The crew behind Red Wings telecasts remains almost entirely intact heading into 2026-27, from the production truck to the broadcast booth. Game producer Brian Henry and director Mark Iacofano continue to lead the show, now with a significantly expanded set of tools at their disposal.
Telecasts this season will feature a custom-designed graphics package built around Red Wings branding, a considerably deeper complement of camera angles, and new ice-level camera positions inside the boards at both ends of the rink to capture the game’s most exciting moments up close.
In close collaboration with the Red Wings, Major League Baseball will produce and broadcast the team’s telecasts. MLB’s production leadership includes executives with extensive backgrounds in hockey broadcasting, and the league’s experience extends to operating NHL Network alongside MLB Network. MLB also led negotiations surrounding carriage agreements and continues a close collaboration with Red Wings and Ilitch Sports + Entertainment on creating a first-class user experience for DSN viewers.
