Team USA White battled Sweden at the World Junior Summer Showcase today in Windsor, Ontario.
After Sunday’s 4-1 loss to Finland, JP Hurlbert remained on the top line, but Victor Plante was dropped down to the U.S. White team’s 2nd line, and Brent Solomon was utilized as a “floating” forward:

On Monday night, Team USA White won 6-4 over Sweden, and Daily Faceoff’s Steven Ellis reports that Victor Plante made an impact for the Americans:
#26 Victor Plante, LW (Detroit Red Wings): Plante was one of the best playmakers on the USNTDP, and he showed that in spades today with a trio of helpers. It’s games like today where he’s able to slow the pace of play down and utilize the extra space on the man advantage where you see just how valuable he is as a playmaker. The Red Wings have a solid prospect here.
