The Detroit Red Wings took to the ice at Centre ICE Arena in Traverse City for their first day of training camp on Thursday morning. Here are various Tweets from today’s practices and scrimmages, as well as the usual social media “stuff.”

Updated at 10:21 AM:
First line combos of camp have Elmer Söderblom at 1LW with Dylan Larkin and Lucas Raymond.

JT Compher between Jonatan Berggren and Eduards Tralmaks
Notably, I don’t see James Van Riemsdyk’s name on either split-squad roster today.
Updated at 10:34 AM:
Appears like Soderblom gets a shot with Larkin and Raymond #RedWings; at least with this Team Delvecchio configuration

A lot of rotating because no Edvinsson.
— Max Bultman (@m_bultman) September 18, 2025
I wrote them down as:
Chiarot-Sieder
Joahnsson-Mitchell
Gustafsson-Holl
Buium-Hamonic
Wallinder-JBD
Lagesson-ASP
But there was a lot of rotating, with Christensen and Tuomisto in there too.
Dries and Doucet I believe. Think I saw Bear with him once but might have been mid change.
