Summer (fun)draising

I received a tremendous amount of support from TMR readers over the course of the summer development camp, and I’m truly grateful for that.

As we turn the calendar to late July, however, I’m facing the stark realities of plain old having bills to pay this month as Aunt Annie and I struggle to make ends meet.

While I was dealing with my depressive episode, we tried to make ends meet, but without the blog’s modest contribution to the budget, we were a couple hundred dollars underwater every month. I was able to take on some debt in order to squeeze out an unexpected seven-month recovery process, but we’re really tight right now.

Long story long, between paying two big and one small bills this month, and having to renew our license plate registration here in Michigan, we don’t have enough money left over from the summer development camp to make it, and so I need to do the fundraising thing.

In an ideal world, this would be done with an eye toward next month’s server bill and the fall prospect tournament and main training camp (it’s time to make hotel reservations already!), but for now, we’ve got $530 in bills to pay, and $300 in funds to pay ’em with.

If there’s any way you can lend a hand, we’d greatly appreciate it. It sucks to have to do this, but the situation is what it is, and we are at the, “No amount is too small!” point.

If you’re willing to lend a hand, you can use PayPal at https://paypal.me/TheMalikReport, Venmo at https://venmo.com/george-malik-2, Giftly by using my email, rtxg@yahoo.com, at https://www.giftly.com. And you can contact me via email if you want to send me a paper check.

Also: Please let me know what kind of summertime content you’d like to see me create for you. I’m still in “recovery mode” after last week’s summer development camp and the draft/unrestricted free agency fun, but I know that there’s more to write, and I could use some feedback.
