Tweets from Friday’s practice: No Larkin (still) but lineup changes abound

The Detroit Red Wings skated in Buffalo the afternoon after dropping a 5-1 decision to the Boston Bruins, and The Athletic’s Max Bultman reported that there were a couple of changes in the Wings’ lineup, with Pius Suter being promoted to the first line, and the second defensive pair absent one Marc Staal:

Red Wings lines/pairs for practice in Buffalo today

Bertuzzi-Suter-Raymond
Zadina-Veleno-Fabbri
Namestnikov-Stephens-Gagner
Smith-Rasmussen-Erne
Rowney extra

Leddy-Hronek
DeKeyser/Lindstrom/Seider rotation

I’m still baffled that the Red Wings haven’t prioritized the adding to center position over the last couple of seasons, but that’s just me…Here’s hoping that Suter gets his shit together on the top line.
