DBusiness.com discusses new restaurants at Little Caesars Arena

DBusiness.com’s R.J. King reports that two new restaurants are opening up in Little Caesars Arena:

Little Caesars Arena and hospitality partner Delaware North have announced two new restaurant concepts — The Mixing Board and PointsBet Sports Bar. The arena is located in The District Detroit.

The Mixing Board, a full-service restaurant, will include a stage for live music and entertainment along with décor that pays homage to the city’s automotive, musical, and industrial history. It replaces Kid Rock’s Made in Detroit eatery along Woodward Avenue.

The menu includes starters, salads, sandwiches, flatbread pizzas, sharables, desserts, craft cocktails, and craft beer. Both individual and shared items are served on custom wooden boards.

Handheld items such as The Woodward Stack (a double cheeseburger with signature sauce, shredded lettuce, tomato, bacon, shaved onion, and B&B pickles on a brioche role) are served on personal boards, while larger charcuterie-style boards were developed for sharable options such as The Neighborhood’s Sausage Board (Italian, Polish, and Irish sausages, charred peppers, craft pickled vegetables, grill onion, mustards, horseradish, and soft pretzels).

“When developing the concept for The Mixing Board, we initially built around two key focus areas: community involvement and a Michigan-first menu,” says Tim Martin, general manager for Delaware North at Little Caesars Arena. “This is a venue for local artists to share their work — a place where the community comes together.
