Prospect round-up: Hanas scores in WHL; Gylander back-stops Colgate to opening-night win

Of Red Wings prospect-related note in North America on Saturday night:

In the QMJHL, Oscar Plandowski finished at -1 with 1 shot in the Charlottetown Islanders’ 5-2 win over Saint John;

Jan Bednar served as the back-up in the Acadie-Bathurst Titan’s 5-2 win over Moncton;

In the WHL, Cross Hanas scored his team’s only goal, finishing at -1 with 6 shots in the Portland Winterhawks’ 3-1 loss to Seattle:

Sebastian Cossa stopped 24 of 26 shots as his Edmonton Oil Kings lost 4-1 to Red Deer;

And in NCAA Hockey, Red Savage finished at +1 with 3 shots and a 2-for-10 faceoff record in the Miami Redhawks’ 7-4 win over Ferris State;

Chase Bradley finished even with 1 shot as his UConn (University of Connecticut) Huskies won 6-3 over Sacred Heart;

Carter Gylander stopped 23 shots as his Colgate University Raiders won 5-2 over Rochester;

And Ryan O’Reilly did not play in the Arizona State University Sun Devils’ 5-3 win over UMass-Lowell.
