Bally Sports Detroit posts Ken Daniels’ interview with Manny Legace

This is damn hard to watch, all 5:40 of it:

Manny Legace shares the story of his emotional journey through COVID-19 and the death of goaltender Matiss Kivlenieks, who was like a son to Legace. #LGRW pic.twitter.com/E3qbZyfWSU— Bally Sports Detroit (@BallySportsDET) October 3, 2021

  1. Thank you for posting this, George. I knew the moment I heard, this was going to be the toughest thing we’ve ever been through as a franchise.
But my first thoughts were with Manny, his family and Elvis and his. I am “just a fan”, but my heart broke for all those involved that day.
The memorial was incredible. The organization did a wonderful job getting his family here. My esteem for Brad Larson went through the roof after that. I can’t say I thought his promotion was on point at the time, but now I have no doubt it was earned and the correct decision.
Thank you again for the link. I wish you success in your website!

    1. Jules, in the end, we are all people who care for our long-time Wings alums, and I just want Manny to heal from his horrific loss and heal from his horrific time with COVID. Ken Daniels, who’s lost a son of his own, did a beautiful job with his interview.
