This is the definition of a “paper move,” a transaction which means nothing save filling up roster spots on the taxi squad so that the Wings don’t have to recall anyone from Grand Rapids:

  1. Score a Goal and off to Taxi squad you go. Good for Givani on his goal!!

There must be a reason why Fil and Frans are not being sent to the Taxi squad. Maybe they meant took a Taxi , like to an airport.

It appears that only the youngins go to Taxi Squad, Don’t want to PI$$ of a Vet.

    1. It’s a meaningless transaction. That’s why I call it a “paper move.” They’re moving bodies to the taxi squad so they don’t have to call up players from Grand Rapids. That’s all.

    1. Not this year. The taxi squad guys get NHL money. They just don’t count against the cap. If they are assigned to the AHL, then they are paid as such.
