5. Conspiracy theory: Holland is playing 4D chess. He knows he won’t get Kovalchuk. He’s just raising the price for another term that’s going to overpay.

6. If they somehow move out nyquist, Ericsson, and helm during the off season then signing kovi would be fine imo. I don’t see that happening.
