And the Red Wings did indeed pick Frolunda Indians forward Lucas Raymond.

Continue reading Red Wings select Lucas Raymond 4th overallI really like the Raymond pick for Detroit. He’s a playmaker, a scorer, and a competitor.

From the NHL and NHLPA:
NEW YORK/TORONTO (Oct. 6, 2020) – The National Hockey League Players’ Association and National Hockey League announced today that they will target Jan. 1 for the start of the 2020-21 regular season.
Estimated timing for the start of training camp will be communicated at a later date.
Some 16 hours into our fundraising adventure, you’ve raised $1,000 of the $1,378 necessary to buy the upgraded, updated laptop.
I’m humbled by and grateful for your assistance, and now we only have a quarter of the way to go!
Https://paypal.me/Themalikreport or https://giftly.com (to rtxg@yahoo.com) are the easiest ways to make it happen.
Via MLive’s Ansar Khan, the Red Wings have loaned Joe Veleno to the SHL’s Malmo Redhawks. The loan may last for the entire 2020-2021 section.
Remarkably so, we’ve come very far in a short period of time. We’ve raised $800 of the $1,299 in just over 14 hours. There’s $500 to go (plus about $77 in sales tax).
Crossing my fingers, toes and veins.
Per the Red Wings on Twitter, Justin Abdelkader has been placed on waivers to be bought out.
He will be on the Wings’ cap for six years to come.
Good morning. I hope you’re doing well.
I barely slept last night (I think I finally feel asleep at 7:30 AM) worrying about my situation and feeling embarrassed about the mess I accidentally made.
There is good news: the laptop fundraising effort is halfway to the $1,299 goal already, so if we can find between 16 and 24 more folks who are willing to donate in the $30 to $50 range, the whole situation will be resolved today.
The bad news is obviously that there’s a long way to go in a short period of time, and I know that it’s the time of year when other blogs and services look at the new fiscal year and say, “Oh shit, we’re broke!”
So I know my timing is awful and that I’m asking a lot. I’m sorry for that, but shit happens, so here we are.
I’m headed out today to help my aunt get a hearing test at U of M’s East Ann Arbor center so that we can begin the process of getting her hearing issues resolved.
What happens between now and 3:30 will determine what direction the great laptop fundraiser will go.
If you can lend a hand or a recommendation, please do so via https://PayPal.me/TheMalikReport or Giftly; for now, my email (rtxg@yahoo.com) is the next- way to reach me.
Thank you so much for your time.
Folks, here is the dream laptop. We’re $500 down in three hours…Can we raise the other $800 and be done with this for the long haul?
If you can find a similar machine for less in the Metro Detroit area, please let me know! Email (rtxg@yahoo.com) works best while I’m phone-bound…
