  1. Just curious? Wings have a few Free agent Invites, BJs Not any.
Is there anything to read into this?

My 1st thought, with the rebuild and StevieY cleaning house, the Wings still might be lean on prospects but each draft will produce a couple of more prospects with eyes on the NHL.
Hope your enjoying all the new youngins in person.

    1. The Red Wings are a little lean on non-NCAA prospects. The Wings have drafted a fair number of college-bound prospects who are not eligible to take part in the prospect tournament, and, as a result–and as a result of the 2021 draft involving so many players who played truncated or zero 2020-2021 seasons–the Wings appear to have wanted to get a glimpse of as many free agent try-outs as possible.

It’s not working out splendidly, but this year’s “tournament” is not really a tournament, so it’s all about evaluation and learning experiences.
