A bit of praise for Bobby Ryan’s fantsay impact, ‘rootability factor’

ESPN fantasy hockey expert Victoria Matiash suggests that fantasy hockey poolies pick up Red Wings forward Bobby Ryan:

Bobby Ryan, F, Detroit Red Wings (1.0%): I’m extra keen to see what Ryan accomplishes this season in his fresh start with the Red Wings. While his role on the club’s top power play offers promise, so does his position on a line with Filip Zadina and Robby Fabbri (when not scratched because of COVID protocol). That trio intrigues me to no end. This isn’t to suggest fantasy managers rush out and drop other bodies in stashing Ryan on their rosters – only that he’s worth keeping on radar. Also, after all Ryan has gone through, he’s easy to root for.

  1. Rootability, a new word for me… This Covid makes little things seem important.

Ryan was a pretty good signing, certainly motivated, good skill set for the line he is on (Younger guys have a good mentor, until Blashill changes things), wasn’t too happy about the way the Sens did things (strange Sens coach says it was a good signing for the Wings, he speaks out of both sides of his mouth). I think he has the support and following of the Wings Fans definitely not a spare part. Zadina, Fabbri, Ryan could be a factor in how well the Wings do this season. He is young enough that he could stay longer than 1 year.. Ryan’s success is one factor in Zadina’s year.
This fan will be watching how well Ryan and the line does, barring injuries, I am really positive about their results.
I think he is another “Couldn’t sign fast enough after meeting StevieY”.
