Is tonight’s game vs. the Islanders a must-win?

WDIV’s Dave Bartkowiak Jr. suggests that the Red Wings absolutely must win tonight’s game against the New York Islanders if the Wings are planning on making a playoff push:

If the Detroit Red Wings have any final hopes of making a push for the playoffs this year, then Friday night’s game against the New York Islanders is a must-win.

And it can’t be an overtime or shootout win. It has to be a win in regulation. The Islanders are knocking on the door to the Wild Card spot with 58 points (55 games played) while the Red Wings have 50 points (52 games played).

  1. This “must win” narrative is comical. With 30 games left the Wings need win roughly 23 of those to even have a chance. If that happens I’ll drink a Molson out of my hockey skate.

I had a chuckle with that “Must Win”. I think George stopped using that a while back.

Time to look at one or two prospects from GR” I hope someone tells them they will get thrown under Blashill’s Bus. Vets have good seats and Blash is driving.

I hope they win for the young players then I think it is time to put the Periscope down and DIVE.

    What an embarrassing organization
